Immersed

I like the ability to use multiple monitors away from my workstation. Really has increase my flexibility and productivity in different environments.

I hate Immersed. I must have rage quit and uninstalled it a dozen times since Oct 2023. The worthless developers can't even understand how much easier it would be to grab and rotate screens by grabbing them from the very center using the grab button. They told me in emails that if I have hand gestures disabled and my controllers go to sleep that no one can see my hand movements if I use the Immersed icon instead of a Meta Avatar. Nope, people's hand movements are always displayed no matter what. So I can't even scratch my #### without offending someone. They can't even fix the simplest bug. I reported VR cursor bugs and they assigned someone to it and then crickets for six months. User avatars are always floating in the air or stuck in the floor. Even the built-in 'Start with Windows' option doesn't even work. The UI is hideous and disorganized, and there are too many freaking popup notifications. Immersed always requires you to have two controllers by you at all times, taking up valuable desk space. But Virtual Desktop will let you do anything and everything with just one controller. Immersed also banned me on Discord for no reason, even though I was barely active on there and made very few posts. I stubbornly refuse to ever install this app again. I use Virtual Desktop without the multi user experience and it uses way less battery life. And when I want to be around people, I use it as an overlay on social apps like Rec Room.

Probably the best app for work on the quest 3, works easily and nice resolution

I have been using Immersed for a while with my apple computers. With all the features it comes with - programming and staying focused has been such a breeze! I would rate the app 4.5/5 stars only due to the fact that there is no permanent tier for pro. I understand why, but I would love this as an option, sometimes holidays happen. Keep up the amazing work Immersed!

It is is great for desktop virtual screens. I am using a mac and a Quest 3s. It works seamlessly, with multiple screens and has pass through or VR, really easy to set up. Install the app to the mac and sign in, then the tutorial is super easy to follow. Highly recommend it.

I would have given Immersed the highest rating 1-2 years ago, but not today.

Unfortunately there is no alternative for Linux users, but on all other operating systems there are many better alternatives.

Since the failure of Immersed IRL last year in September, a lot has changed for the worse. The community is no longer kept up to date. On the official Immersed Support Discord, users of the app and also pre-orderers of the Visor are regularly silenced or banned. Deadlines are not met, paying customers are not informed, but new financing rounds are regularly started.

A few tips from me if anyone gets lost on the Immersed Discord or has pre-ordered a Visor.
- don't talk about the financial situation of Immersed
- do not ask for current information about your pre-ordered Visor
- do not expect help or answers from the admins
- do not order a Visor until the deliveries have started
- think twice before you invest in this company or believe their promises

Thank you Immesed Support Team for opening my eyes and the eyes of many other supporters in the community. It allowed me to look around and find a much better app with less bugs and better performance.
It is sad to see a company destroy a community that has been built over many years without hesitation.

Before questions arise, “Virtual Desktop” proved to be the better alternative in direct comparison for the functions I wanted.
