HURRAH (Helsinki University Research on Realities, Attitudes & Humanity) is a library of evidence-based immersive VR encounters that invite you to explore yourself—and others—through powerful, socially rich experiences.

Developed by social psychologists at the University of Helsinki as part of the Era-VR project, HURRAH blends cutting-edge social scientific research with creativity to reimagine how we engage with social life. From navigating life in a deeply unequal society to standing up for stigmatized communities, each experience is grounded in rigorous science on group dynamics, intergroup relations, inequality, and well-being—in both real and virtual worlds.

HURRAH challenges assumptions, shifts perspectives, shapes identities, and inspires action. By stepping into these worlds, the VR community gains deeper insight into how people relate, react, and resist, while also contributing to scientific understanding of social interactions in VR and how social change can take root in virtual experiences. All data is collected completely anonymously and cannot be linked to any individual user. The data will be used solely for educational and research purposes by the University of Helsinki.

Built for curious minds, HURRAH is ideal for researchers exploring human behavior and intergroup relations, educators sparking bold conversations and challenging prejudices, and anyone ready to see the world—and themselves—differently.
