I have been trying Float and Tripp... and Float is way better in my opinion, really relaxing... but I experienced more and more issues with the app within the week after installation... now it doesnt always starts and when it does it is very laggy and stuttery... Is it supposed to work well on Quest2? I thought it would be a device issue but Tripp still runs smoothly
Nice app. I only tried the free version. Not sure if the subscription would be worth it and not going to try. The fact that it puts 5 hours on the clock when you first run it means the chance of a refund, if I don't think it's worth it, could be a bit problematic.
FLOAT VR is incredible. I'm so glad I took the plunge and paid for it. The float experience does exactly what it is meant to do. I feel so much calmer afterwards. Thank you!!
What a beautiful trippy experience! FloatVR showed up randomly one day on my Meta Quest 2 screen, when I was wearing the VR headset, as the #1 recommendation at the top of the list. I've never clicked on anything like this before, and had no idea what FloatVR was, but I decided to install the app, and I am sure glad I did!
Even though I don't have a paid subscription, I can still view enough minutes of several levels within the app. All I had to do is give them my email address to unlock more areas of the game. The only thing it's missing is a "history" function, or something within the VR app that lets you see how many previous levels you've gone through in the past.
Initially I got this one confused with a similar VR app called "Tripp" but I'd say FloatVR is much better. Although I did notice 2 levels in the "Lab" section (winter & geometry) were glitchy. Like they didn't have the smooth seankess scrolling that all the other levels had. It can't be a problem on my end, because if it were, then ALL of the FloatVR sections would appear stuttery and chunky. But just these 2 do however. (I did later find out that these couple "nature scenes" do actually play flawlessly on the Meta Quest 3, just not in the Meta Quest 2).
But all in all I would definitely recommend this VR app for a moving wonderful trippy experience! Especially if you're on edibles - it'll be a mind-blowing high! Stunning visuals and euphoria like you've never seen before!
Even a short session leaves you reset and calm. The only reason it's a 4 not a 5 is that I wish the world you drift through were more varied. Also I'd rather pay once and then use the app. I'm not likely to continue a monthly sub.
If you’re looking for an app that will completely relax you without all the nonsense that can sometimes go along with it, run and buy this one. I wish they had an app with their beautiful music that I could use to sleep
