I'd pay for downloadable packs of additional visualizations. If the dev team just took a look at the hundreds of Milkdrop visualizations from back in the day and emulated even half of them, they could rake in more money easily.
As always, Spotify or other streaming source integration is the holy grail here. Please look at allowing integration of other streaming music sources.
I'm giving this two stars only because the visuals are pretty good. Not great, but good. That being said, it's not a very good application. The interface is clumsy and not in any way intuitive. They claim it can be used with DLNA streaming, yet there is nothing in the menu that shows how to do it. I was also hoping they would include the ability to use services such as Spotify, so I found it disappointing that you cannot. The music provided with the app is not to my liking. either. It didn't cost much overall, but I'm likely going to ask for a refund anyway. It doesn't feel like something I'd be using regularly.
Evryway is easy to use and provides stimulating visualization for music. I have already used the app to create a video with my original music. Thanx.
Firstly, I'd like to say i'm astonished at the complete lack of these sorts of visualizer apps, much less ones with as basic of a function as being able to search folders. This app was very close to the thing I was looking for when it came to the desire for a VR visualizer, though after some time with it there are things to iron out and features I'm hoping that are considered in an update to make this a genuinely great app.
-On the Quest 3, it's pretty noticeable and slightly distracting how low resolution all the effects can be seen through the pancake lenses over the fresnels of the 3S and 2, the assets could use some upscaling for the new system.
-An option to have two visual effects active at once, something like having skybox-esque ones such as the constellations or kaleidoscopes act independently from effects directly in front of you, if they were to be broken into categories. Possibly new options to have something other than a black void that's active during most effects. On the note of the kaleidoscope effect though, the third(?) one in particular can be awfully strainful to look at when it attempts to match songs with high tempo, that seriously needs some tweaking.
-The option to customize visualizers to some extent, from the colors with the choice to have them cycle through variants, to extra flourishes like particles and ghosting "trail" effects, open the door to fun experimentation that keeps things fresh.
-ability to create playlists with the option to set visualizers on a per-playlist basis.
-Generally would enjoy seeing new visualizers being added that further push a stronger sense of artistic vision, some of the current ones can come off a bit more on the basic side of things.
I see a lot of potential here and appreciate the appeal to such a niche interest, I can only hope though that any major development for this app isn't entirely off the table. This is one I want to come back and unwind to often and recommend to others.
definitely recommend! I was having trouble with loading songs onto it for a while, but was able to get in touch with the dev and he helped me sort out my file issues quickly. great visualizer and definitely worth it.
pf - dark side of the moon + visualiser
I expect immersive concerts to become more of a thing. In the meantime this visualizer is worth getting.
