There is some issues like the A.I stops talking abruptly
LIFEHACK if you don't speak English: ask Eva to talk your native language! And yes, Eva ask same questions and highlight same things as my human well known doc. Devs, it's amazing product! Tears in my eyes when I'm writing it! I will recommend recommend this product to all my friends, and will buy headset with EvaAI for my mom.
I’ve tested several AI services in this field, including GPT in general, but here the real strength is empathy - it never feels like you’re talking to a robot. It genuinely listens and dives into your problem or request, and you can feel the difference in the results. The way it summarizes your case at the end is both simple and brilliant.
Yo, I tried EvaAI Health’s VR therapy and it’s honestly kinda dope! The AI therapist feels super chill, like it really listens, and the VR vibe is so relaxing, like a safe little escape. I’m using the free plan with one session a week. The sleep and stress tips are helping me out big time, no joke. Check it out at EvaAI Health, totally recommend!
and it's a giant data collector.

I don’t have any experience with therapy outside of this app, so maybe there’s something I’m overlooking in regards to the effectiveness of “real” in person therapy, but I find this app hard to recommend over seeing an actual therapist.
The app itself is surprisingly impressive. I went in with low expectations but the AI is really good. It doesn’t just talk like a normal person would, it talks like a therapist would. It knows how to focus on the smallest details of what you said. It can pivot a conversation effectively and circle back to things you said earlier in a very believable way. I was surprised by the (for lack of a better term) conversational intelligence and behavioural skills it showed, clearly rooted in serious research.
There are some issues with the AI unfortunately. But, an update that I haven’t had chance to try apparently focuses on some of these issues. Outside of the issues with the AI interrupting you, sometimes looping dialogue and the long pauses (all of which have been mentioned as focus points by the developers for the new update), my main issue is the lack of persistence between sessions.
The AI will simply have zero knowledge of anything you have discussed in previous sessions. Even with this issue, the AI will actually give you a task of sorts to address issues you’re having over the next week and discuss your progress with them “in next weeks session”, even though the AI will not remember anything you spoke about before.
The sessions seem useful for addressing short term issues you’re having in the moment, potentially as a way to work through sudden emotional episodes or focussed concerns in a single session, but I can’t see this being an effective tool for long term therapy.
There is something to be said about having an easy look into a therapy experience for someone who may be on the fence. Or, someone who struggles with social anxiety being able to use this app as an alternative to going straight into a real social experience with a real person, which may be causing them to avoid therapy entirely. Maybe try a month subscription if you’re one of these people. However, if you’re serious about seeking therapy, I would recommend seeing an in person therapist.
