Step into a real-world manufacturing floor—virtually and learn how to troubleshoot industrial machine breakdowns in a hands-on VR experience using real equipment. Troubleshooting is one of the most valuable skills in manufacturing—but it’s also one of the hardest to practice. Real machine breakdowns don’t happen on demand, and stopping production to simulate one isn’t an option. This experience helps learners build the confidence in troubleshooting while reinforcing essential skills in problem solving, technical communications and knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Developed by Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) in collaboration with Larsen & Shaw Limited, this training puts you in a virtual production environment using digital twins of real machines—a Die Transfer and a Brake Press—taken straight from the factory floor.

You will:

Learn how these machines work and interact together
Understand the role of key machine components
Explore common troubleshooting checks
Learn to apply technical knowledge to diagnose and fix machine breakdowns

Technical topics covered in this training include Human Machine Interface (HMI), Programmable Logic Controllers, Sensors and Signal Operation, Chain Drive Systems, Mechanical Components such as gears and bearings, and Three Phase AC Motors.
