The aim of Crane 4.0: VR for training is to offer crane operators, companies, and training centers an innovative training methodology, aiming to upgrade their professional skills. It has been developed thanks to the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. It facilitates the training of newcomers by giving them the chance to have a first approach to crane operations without taking any health or safety risk. Furthermore, this new technology helps modernizing the crane sector and its way to train new learners. Crane 4.0: VR for training has 4 different scenarios in which the user will perform 2 tasks in each:

• Module 1: Safety recommendations before the start of the journey & Communications for lifting loads. Maneuvering signaling codes.

• Module 2: Worksite Preparation & Crane Setup – Outside.

• Module 3: Determining crane load weights & Load calculations.

• Module 4: Monthly Crane Inspection & Pre-operational checks of the mobile crane.
