Content limited and no hand-tracking
The app's content seems to be mosly limited to girls dancing and not categorized. Hopefully there will be hand tracking.
What's the point?!
I genuinely don't see the point of this app. I have just bought a Calf Visinse VR180 3D camera and assumed that this would be the app I needed to connect my Quest 3 to the camera. But no, it's just another rather poor social media thing with nothing of any interest in terms of content. I can't believe anyone would actually pay for the "VIP" version, which apparently just stops the videos from being interrupted every few seconds. Completely useless.
Potential but unfinished
This software, CalVR, has the potential to be the best VR video player on the Meta platform.
The models, the lighting, the framing, and the music are excellent and transport us into a dream; it’s very meditative.
The negative points: there are too many bugs, not enough videos, the graphical interface needs to be reviewed, and there’s no community space for exchange and conversation.
It would also be good to have medium-length videos like on TikTok.
Message to the developers: your program has potential, but you need to work on improving CalVR.
English!?
Where is the language switch???
Needs lots of work
The app is currently almost not usable. Hopefully all is fixed once my kickstarter 3D camera arrives.
The menu only works when the headset language is set to US English. The login menu is very hard to access with the controllers on the meta quest pro. Creating an account is impossible iIt says ‘failed to send verification code’ .
Hopefully we will see soon another beta on app labs.
Update: verification code now works. After login the app runs much smoother. The content is limited without much variety, but I am sure that will get better in the future.
To people who have a problem of texts
I had the same issue.
I changed my language setting from Japanese to English(US) in Quest system settings, then those texts all appeared.
It seems this app only show English or Chinese texts.
Another point.
You must log in with SMS verification code everytime after logged out.
I hope this is only a trial system before their official launch in the next week.
