took 333ug lucy and hopped on this game and i melted into the vr and saw the spirit gods
Maybe a niche product but a unique compelling one that I have returned to.
Offering an unfolding visual experience accompanied by the authentic audio recordings of shamanic songs there's nothing else like this on the Quest or much else elsewhere.
The VR is used to great effect in 3 dimensions in this linear experience. Slight warnings for the squeamish particularly for insects, spiders, and snakes.
I would buy this again with a graphics update or remaster. But don't let perfectionism get in the way of a valuable journey. The translation at the end could also scroll a little more slowly or be manually scroll able.
Great job - please remaster it - and definitely buy it if it's an area that speaks to you.
I like it here, love it on Steam VR.
In some way it looks sharp here, but I believe a lot of detail was stripped out of certain areas, making them appear simplified, compared to the Steam VR version.
Still an awesome psychedelic adventure though…
Try “Visionarium” and “Realms of Flow”
I really liked the idea of an ayahuasca trip simulator, but the execution is just terrible. The graphics are low quality with very basic 3D models and low-quality textures, and there are almost no immersive VR effects to create a real sense of presence. This isn’t a trip-friendly app — if anything, it feels like a bad trip simulator. And bad trips are highly personal, so trying to simulate one universally doesn’t make much sense. The issue is that the ‘bad trip’ just comes across as creepy, rather than reflecting the complexity of a real bad trip.
That said, I’m not criticizing the idea of simulating a difficult experience — the problem is how poorly it’s done. The textures are extremely simple, almost like something from a kids game in the late 2000s.
If you’re looking for a VR experience to use during a trip, this isn’t it. There’s actually a free app on the Meta Store with stunning modern visuals and immersive effects — and it’s completely free with no in-app purchases.
I've owned this title for 5 years over on Steam. I've used the PCVR version innumerable times and know the title extremely well. I'd also add that I've run the PCVR version with a few GPUs, my most recent being an RTX 4070, allowing me to max out the graphics settings. I initially held off buying this Quest port because I feared it was a 360 video; it is not. The Quest port was done in Unity and shockingly is rendered on the headset. That said, I suspect they are using some limited video, but it's difficult to tell (the game files are hidden in an obb file). What I will say is that much of the Quest port looks BETTER?!? Not everything, but some portions look much clearer than the PCVR version on max settings. Unfortunately, that's not true throughout the entire experience. The Quest version cuts down the "white cathedral" and "red cathedral" portions of the experience and these 2 sections really stand-out as the biggest downgrade. Also, the final section with the "angels" is changed--specifically the "angels" are rendered in lower detail. But shockingly, Ayahuasca's 2 stand-out graphic FX (the bird's eye & the angel's "rope") are done exceptionally well! I was gob-smacked the devs pulled those FX off on Quest--and they're rendered at a very high resolution and look absolutely stunning on Quest. Ayahuasca is a great experience and the Quest port looks phenomenal. Don't hesitate, pick it up.
The game looks really good. If it could only work. I got in front of this man sitting down then nothing happened .I just stood there waiting and waiting nothing happeneds. Can you assist me .the game doesn't wo
