I love what Brink did with their snippets of various places. Atlas Obscura achieved a similar achievement with their haunted house (the various more in-depth 'episodes' are amazing), and the various places that I can click on the map.
I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO SEE MORE CONTENT!
This isn't a criticism; it is a KEEP THIS GOOD THING GOING, and make it better!
This app allows you to view/visit a number of interesting locations worldwide. Three or four mini-documentaries are presented in a variety of ways, from 360-degree video to fully scanned/rendered scenes; it's a true multi-media experience with extremely compelling content. The mini-documentaries (for lack of a better turn) present detailed information and provide quite a bit of content. Additionally, there are a ton of other locations you can "visit" around the globe with ample media & narration. There's a LOT of content available. I have no idea why this app isn't more popular but it's extremely well designed and presented. If you like Brink Traveller, then Atlas Obscura should be your next purchase. My only complaint is that although this can be enjoyed seated, there are scenes you MUST turn completely around to select specific scenes. That aside, this is an incredibly interesting app that deserves far more reviews--it's really a top-tier experience.
I've experienced a number of travel apps, but this one truly stands out! There is so much to explore and the locations are truly unique. I loved the book and I now love this incredible app. I hope the producers get to add even more to what is already a stunning achievement, BRAVO!
Finally an example of interactive, immersive entertainment that is not just a VR video. This app allws for exploration, immersion and discovery of many interest world known stories. Definitely worth the buy!
