This is one of the best solutions for startup whith virtual reality. You have all possibilities to build virtual city for instance and make projects. I am using software in combination whith Blender and it works extremely good even with lot of objects inside. It's simple and it would be even better whith simple animation possibilities. I worm recommend it for school projects.
I learned how to use this with little instruction in an afternoon. Built a little house in that time frame not fully complete but still. Has a few issues with some controls (intuitive button use) and menu gets in the way sometimes, but you get used to it. Both hands can have seperate functions like creating and editing making stuff faster.
I can see the potential in this app, the UI is just kinda hard to master. The menu and options are just kinda weird and random. There are a lot of options tho, wich is great. But it should be more logical and easier to understand. Especially scanning rooms and editing them, now it just feels weird.
Hey lads, good sw! I have one point that can make it even better, do you think that it is possible to scan the room with the photo textures on the walls ? I am usualy drawing existing buildings electrity wirings im autocad and this would be awesome if i could just “teleport” my self to the building that i am drawing to see the socket and light placement 😁
This could be so good, but the actual implementation is terrible. The UI is just useless. And position lock in AR is lost all the time. I spent two hours trying to put a sliding door in front if a niche in the room and failed. Selection of specific edges or faces is very hard, geometry keeps randomly snapping to unexpected places, and the library items like windows, doors and stairs, which I paid 4,99 for, are unusable because they appear in the world in random orientation and scale and cannot be adjusted afterwards. Maybe it works as a viewer for something created on the PC, but creating anything more complex than a painted cube is basically impossible in VR.
To build/design a room from a VR scan or from scratch using a Meta Quest 3 is nothing shy of infuriating. Walls, windows, openings, ceilings will not be placed where you need them to be, there doesn't appear to be any kitchen cabinets to firnish a kitchen, navigating around the design with VR is incredibly difficult. Ideally it needs to be designed on a PC and then viewed with a Quest VR device. Otherwise, like me, you may lose hours and hours to this! Concept is good, app is not.
