I look forward to many more titles to explore. I will take as much CRISPR as you all see fit to create, but the locked titles also look interesting.
I would give it 5 stars cause I really do enjoy it! But considering you can only do ONE of the activities, I was disappointed with that! I hope they update and open more of the game so we can do more!!
A profound experience. This app brings you to impossible (but real!) places: The insides of plants, bones, blood vessels, cells, nuclei, and more. You can actually see proteins and DNA, and how they interact. I'd recommend this for anyone studying high school or college Biology.
It also has voice that asks questions about what you are seeing, and provides feedback on your answers. Amazing.
I've always wondered what it would be like to shrink down to the size of a bug - now I know! This app is SO cool - you can dive into things to experience different scales, like the inside of a blood vessel or a plant. I feel like this would be a really great way to teach science concepts that are hard to learn by reading about.
cons
- made me nauseas (stuttering loading new scenes + zoom in, i have my vr legs)
- recordings give ample time to answer (give us a button to say we are ready to answer)
- when instructions are unclear, no way to figure out how to proceed. (add a button to repeat last instruction or give transcription).
It has a lot of potential but above are cardinal sins. Focus solely on quality of life improvements before doing anything else.
This is a wonderful app to play when family come over and you want to show off what the Quest can do while learning. The controls are intuitive and easy to comprehend. I got to learn how Sickle Cell disease manifests and also learned how insects can damage plant life. The graphics are stunning and makes science education fun. I wish I had this at school.
